Senior Year WADDUP

s/o to mahin for commenting on a post motivating me to make a blog post

I have to say, to the very least, I should make at least one blog post at the start of the school year and the end of the school year just so I can compare and look back on what's changed, even if there's not much in between.

first things first, I'M A SENIOR NOW.
i've been waiting for this moment since the beginning of freshman year and it's truly hard to believe that senior year is finally within my grasp.

I'm absolutely thrilled for senior year. reasons being:
1) my schedule is actually decent this year. I have enough APs/college classes to keep me busy with a balance of frees so that I can still relax and avoid stress.
2) it's the beginning of the end, which automatically gives me a boost of energy.
3) this year is my year

of course I'm not looking forward to any college applications though...
I keep telling myself to get started and write a college essay, but I'm still stuck in my summer slack-off mode. and at the same time, I've looked at the essay prompts and i just can't seem to find anything worth writing. i am honestly way too ordinary. I haven't done anything spectacular, and my grades aren't spectacular either. I haven't had any life changing experiences and I hardly know what I want to do in the future. I'm just me. It's always so difficult to write about something or talk about something when it's about yourself.

Senior Year Goals:
Academically
1) Maintain a 97+ (weighted) average (lol i'm gonna die.)
2) Stay ahead in AP Psych (don't wait until the last minute to do outlines!!!)
3) Pay attention in Humanities and try to participate often and maybe even read the books for once...
4) Use your time wisely, especially on days you work. You don't want to end up staying up late finishing assignments. (I've never really had a problem with this, but you know, I can't let senioritis get to me)
5) Determine if I want to take the ACT again, and if I do get to work immediately and try to get a 33+
6) Do lots of college research and end up in a college you truly like!
Other
1) Attends clubs and or find one activity to stay dedicated to. I really want to volunteer somewhere long-term. I want to stay as productive as possible this year so I don't slack-off.
2) Talk to as many people as possible this year! Schools a lot easier when you have more people by your side. (Although I'm naturally very independent and hardly ever rely on anyone, I feel like senior year is a good year to make the most of it. I'll probably never see the bulk of these people ever again anyways)
3) Don't forget to relax. I know senior year will probably get overwhelming at times, but never ever forget to relax. I think academics are important, but I also think that enjoying yourself is just as important.

Anyways, I think that's all for my blog post! I'll add other things if anything comes to mind. I hope you guys have a great senior year of high school. It's the last, so make it count.

ALSO, if anyone from 801 sees this, can we please plan a reunion or something once we all graduate? I really want to catch up and talk about what we'll all be doing in the future.
